Who we are

The NFAS are a group of all those who are artistically, creatively, or enthusiastic about the furry community in Newfoundland and Labrador.From digital and traditional artwork to suit creation and more, the group as a whole are made up of enthusiasts and members of the furry fandom.The group consists of membes from Newfoundland and Labrador, and from away with connections to the province.Our primary mission is to provide a safe, friendly, and accepting environment for our group; with the goal of helping anyone new to the fandom to learn and explore their creativity.Interested in learning more? Group Rules

This group aims to provide a safe and accepting space for furs residing in Newfoundland and Labrador.Rule 1:
Be Kind and Courteous. We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness and respect are required.Rule 2:
No hate speech or bullying. Harassment of any kind isn't allowed.• Homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, racism and ableism will not be tolerated.
• Do not share links to other groups with the intent to bully, harass or create drama for its members/moderators. Not only is this considered harassment; it is also in violation of Discords ToS and could negatively affect our own server.
• Drama from other servers does not belong here.
• Keep heavy topics to the Venting channel in Discord.
• Do not intentionally stir up drama with other members. If you have an issue, report it to a moderator.
• Aggressive or confrontational behaviour toward other members is not permitted.
• Moderators are here to keep the group safe and accepting for everyone. If they ask you to stop doing something--stop doing it.
• Aggressive and confrontational behaviour toward moderators that are doing their job is not permitted.Rule 3:
Respect everyone’s privacy. Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. This is a closed group and what's shared in the group should stay in the group.Rule 4:
Keep it clean. We want to foster a PG13 SFW environment which everyone can enjoy. Posting guidelines should be kept PG13 across all channels, unless otherwise stated. Any posts containing material not considered PG13 will be deleted immediately.• No sexual content, extreme violence, gore, etc. This includes links, stickers and gifs.
• For Discord, please keep NSFW content in the 18+ channels.
• In Telegram, sticker packs containing both SFW and NSFW content are permitted, but only SFW stickers are permitted to be used in the channel. Be warned that looking into another member's sticker pack may contain NSFW content.Rule 5:
No role-play in the chat. Keep it to PM or role-play specific channels in Discord.Rule 6:
Do not spam/flood the chat. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Repeatedly saying the same words/phrases over and over
• Reposting the same image/sticker/link/videos
• Excessively using caps lock for messages. Using it a little to convey emotion is fine, but don’t go overboard
• Filling the chat with nothing but stickers/gifs. Keep it to a minimum of 5 in a row.To reduce the possibility of spamming the chat, put large collections of images into an album, and share it instead of individual images.Links promoting other sites/pages/events/servers should be cleared by mods/admins prior to being posted or they may be removed without warning.Rule 7:
Do not block a Moderator/Administrator. They may need to contact you privately if there is ever an issue. Blocking them is considered evasion, and can lead to your removal from the group.Rule 8:
Actions/Behaviour outside of the group, reflect your ability to participate within the group.To promote a safe environment, we will review complaints on a case-by-case basis when a chat member is believed to have behaved inappropriately outside of the chat. These things include, but are not limited to:• Threats toward others (Verbal, physical, blogging, online journals, etc.)
• Discrimination based on gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, race, etc.
• Illegal activitiesRule 9:
Patterns of disruptive (Including attention/validation seeking) behavior are not permitted.• Constantly posting selfies/pictures of yourself that are not furry related in non-related channels. Keep things like selfies and pet pics to specific channels
• Constantly posting in an attempt to gain pity or attention.
• Deliberately starting arguments with other members.
• Insulting other members during a disagreement. If you are having a disagreement with another member; keep it civil and respectful. If things are getting too heated, contact a moderator to step in.Rule 10:
Planning of house parties or parties is not permitted in chat and will not be posted under Meetups. If a member would like to invite others to their home, they would be responsible for planning and organizing it themselves outside of the group. Invites would have to be done via DM; not through the NFAS.We do not take any responsibility for what other members may do within their own home, nor do we take any responsibility for any damages or lost items that may occur at that home. If you plan to host or attend a private house party, you are doing so at your own risk.

Violation

Violation of any of these rules are subject to any of the following actions:• Written warning (Via PM, or in chat)
• Temporary ban. (Time chosen for temporary ban is at the discretion of the moderator giving it.)
• Permanent ban (Banned indefinitely.)When given a warning, the moderator will take a screenshot of the warning being given.
If a moderator is blocked upon giving a warning, you will be immediately removed from the group.Bans will be shared with other local groups cross-platform. (ie: if it happens on telegram, the facebook group and discord admins will also be made aware) The information will also be shared with the Atlantic Furs groups across all platforms.Permanent bans may be appealed after 1 year. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, and the moderator team reserves the right to uphold the ban for any reason. Appealing a ban does not mean the ban will be removed.If you are unsure, PM an admin and ask. We are more than happy to help._{Rules subject to change at any time.}

• Keep topics to their respective channels. (Eg. Gore in #gore, NSFW fursuiting in #murrsuits or #nsfw-fursuits, etc.)
